Mary Ann Tucker
Mary Ann is a Certified Professional Coach trained at the Adler School of Professional Coaching in Toronto. Her specialized areas of expertise are Personal, Leadership and Team Coaching and she is accredited as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by International Coaching Federation. Mary Ann has obtained advance training and certification in Tilt 365: a character strengths assessment for leadership development, Posi-TRAK Team Coaching: Living Systems Approach, TESI: a measure of a team’s emotional and social Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence Assessments: EQI 2.0 and 360 .
Mary Ann brings to her role as a Professional Coach a wealth of knowledge and experiences gained from her past careers as a Physiotherapist, and as a Director in a Children’s Rehabilitation Centre. Mary Ann is recognized locally, regionally and provincially as a transformational value-based leader and coach with experience in leadership development, change management, strategic and operational planning, team and community engagement. Mary Ann is a co-founder of The Coaching Lens. Her passion has been consistent in all of her roles and experiences: bringing out the very best in individuals, leaders and teams.
Ida Kmiec
Ida has held several leadership roles within business, information technology and higher education. She has been an effective facilitator of change at the Ivey Business School for over 30 years.
Prior to Ivey, Ida held leadership positions with Western’s Math and Engineering School, Certified General Accounts Association and The University of Toronto’s Faculty of Education. As a Certified Adler Trained Coach she coaches individuals, teams and leaders in diverse environments including business, information technology and higher education. She also obtained certification in Tilt 365 and the Posi-TRAK Team Coaching: Living Systems Approach.
Ida is a co-founding member of The Coaching Lens. Her passion is creating a safe and collaborative coaching environment where teams and individuals see, understand and unlock their potential.
Carole Murphy
Carole’s background in education includes a broad range of teaching and leadership experiences. As an advocate of lifelong learning, Carole’s passion is to work with individuals who are open to new possibilities.
She worked in curriculum and teacher development for the Eastern Ontario Catholic School Board. While in that role Carole was granted the Principals’ Association Leadership Award. She also received the Life Long Learning Award from the London Council for Adult Education. Carole served on provincial writing committees in the area of curriculum design and integration. She served as the Director of Lay Formation Programs at St. Peter’s Seminary in London. Carole completed her training as a Certified Professional Life Coach through the Adler School of Coaching offered at Western University. She is also a Certified Dementia Coach for Caregivers.
As a co-founding member of The Coaching Lens, Carole wishes to serve clients who are open to new beginnings and new learning. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Religious Studies Degree from Queen’s University and a Master of Religious Education Degree from St. Paul University, Ottawa.
Kelly Schaus
Kelly’s career in the non-profit sector includes positions at Western University, King’s University College, the Ivey Business School and Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre.
Throughout her career she developed a passion for helping people, building relationships, listening to people’s stories, and making a difference. Kelly’s transition into coaching in 2021 fuelled those passions, and she now has the opportunity to experience transformation firsthand.
Kelly joined The Coaching Lens in 2021. As a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), COR.E Dynamics Transitions Specialist, and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), her coaching is primarily focused on helping her clients navigate through life and career transitions with resilience and confidence. In addition, Kelly has a passion for youth, teen, and parent/ family coaching. As a mom and stepmom, Kelly has firsthand experience with the twists and turns, ups and downs, of parenthood and the thoughts, feelings and challenges that can be present throughout the journey.
Jill Pillon, Staff Writer for The Coaching Lens
Working with the coaching professionals on the team, Jill helps write articles, posts, proposals, marketing, communication and workshop materials. For programs and workshops, she provides documentation and facilitation support and takes the role of “zoom pilot” for online delivery.
Jill is a consulting professional with an HBA (Honours Business Administration) majoring in Information Technology from Ivey Business School at Western University and a successful career in the information services industry. She is also skilled in Ghost Writing and Travel Writing, Entrepreneurship, User Documentation, Training, Process and System Design.
Maureen Wood
As an Occupational Therapist for almost 40 years, Maureen has worked with a wide range of age groups and abilities. Over the last 25 years at a Children’s Rehabilitation Centre, she has brought her energy and experience to bear in an exceptional program called ‘Self Discovery’ helping school-age youth and young adults realize their potential by exploring their skills, interests, strengths, values, and capabilities. The goal for youth is to gain confidence in the art of self-determination and self-advocacy and to apply these skills during times of change and uncertainty. Maureen also works with retirees to explore and redefine their ’new life purposes’ during this time of transition. She works with caregivers of clients and she herself was a caregiver in the ‘sandwich’ generation for over 23 years.
Maureen combines her professional skills and innate compassion with a strength-based and relationship-centered approach, using Solution Focused coaching in her interaction with youth, families, and support systems.
